FAQ

What is your booking process?

Once you have found Wild Sol Photography and you love my style, then all you need to do is go to my online booking calendar and choose the date you are wanting me to capture you. Then, I will get back to you to confirm the booking. Once your $50 retainer is received, the contract is signed, and an invoice is sent, you're all booked in.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, a $50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking date. Deposits are transferable in the event of illness or bad weather.

How many photos will I receive?

Each session comes with its inclusions, however most delivered galleries will have between 40 - 80 digital images. This is to have a wide variety to choose from and to purchase extras if wanted or needed. Full gallery options can be discussed once gallery is delivered.

What is your editing style like?

My editing style is moody and warm. I hand edit each photo with my own made presets to get the right look for each one. I mainly use the software 'Lightroom' and I do minimal editing in 'Photoshop'.
Sometimes each image takes up to 5 minutes to edit, this why I allow the 30 days to have the time to get each photo right.

When can I expect to receive my photos?

I ask that you allow 90 days for your full digital gallery to be delivered. I love sharing sneak peeks on my socials, so make sure you are following. You will then receive a password protected online gallery which you can download your photos to a phone or computer.

Can we order prints from you? Or only digital images?

Your online gallery has a range of extras available.
You are able to purchase additional digital images or a range of professional prints, canvases, and frames.

What times do you hold your sessions?

My outdoor sessions are held in the hour before sunset. Obviously sunset is at different times depending on what time of year you book. Although sunset in summer is later, I assure you a later bedtime for just one night really is worth it.

Do you have set locations you hold sessions at?

I have a number of go to spots across a range of different locations. Tasmania is so beautiful and I am sure there are some hidden gems I haven't come across yet. If you have a location in mind, I am always open to adventuring and exploring!

Do you travel?

Yes I am happy to travel around to any location within Tasmania and I charge if location is 30km+. These fees are usually arranged once location is known. Cover my travel costs and I will be there!

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Get in contact to discuss options. Always happy to help make capturing memories as budget friendly as possible.

What happens if it is raining or we/you get sick?

Being a lifestyle photographer I mostly shoot outdoors, so if the weather is extreme we will definitely make a call on the day about rescheduling your photo session. Same goes if you or your child/ren/family is unwell, we will reschedule. Sickness also applies to myself or my family, if I am unwell I will let you know as soon as possible and we can reschedule your photo session. There is no fee to reschedule your session.

Do you offer other sessions?

I am so happy for you to drop a line if you want some furever pics of your pooch or rabbit, or if you’d like to capture birthday parties, or cake smashes, or even school leavers photos. I’m up for capturing any moments you have in mind.

What should I wear?

Once we have all the big details organised, let's organise the little ones! I will email you a styling guide which is full of all the outfit help you need, along with some other important information to prepare you for your session.

Ultimately, your session is all about you and telling your story. So at the end of the day, be comfortable. I do recommend neutral, earthy tones and if you need help, my inbox is always open and I’m happy to help.

Can I wear more than one dress from your client closet?

Hell yes! I love it when my clients fall in love with multiple dresses, I will happily accommodate a dress change mid shoot.

When is the best time for a maternity session?

I suggest you consider booking your session between 32-37 weeks.

When is the best time to photography newborns?

It is totally up to you. Some families like to get them super fresh and within 48 hours, others like to wait until they are 1 month old.
It depends on what photos you are after.
I always recommend between the first 2 weeks if you are after all their newborn features - wrinkled skin, peach fuzz, milk dots, tiny features etc.

Do you photograph weddings?

Yes I do, but only elopements or small ceremonies/receptions.
